Basics
is a general introduction to the Payroll/Personnel System. It is comprised
of two parts: |

A web-based
training module which provides an overview of the PPS system. |
| |
 |
A 4 hour hands-on training using PPS in the computer lab. |
Prerequisites:
Completion of the web-based training module.
Required of all PPS users. |

PPS Training Program

7 days
of 3-6 hour classes, the Full Training Program provides instructions
on policies and procedures and additional hands-on lab training
in preparation for entering or reviewing student and staff employee
actions.
Offered on a monthly basis once the minimum enrollment requirement of three trainees has been met.
Prerequisites:
PPS Basics
Required of all PPS Preparers, Mandatory Reviewers, and their
back-ups.

OPTRS Training
(Online Payroll Time Reporting System)

Provides instructions on policies and procedures for processing rosters and payroll adjustments in PPS.
Classroom training is not currently available. Contact the Payroll Office for further information regarding training options.
Prerequisites: Click here for required and recommended prerequisites.
Required of all OPTRS Preparers, Mandatory Reviewers, and their back-ups. |

TOPE Training
(OPTRS "Transfers Only" Training)

Provides instructions on policies and procedures for processing, Mass Expense Transfers (EDTM) Single Expense Transfers (EDTS).

Required of all TOPE Preparers, Mandatory Reviewers, and their back-ups. |

Academic PPS Training Program

3 days of 3-4 hour classes, the Academic PPS Training Program provides instructions on policies and procedures and additional hands-on lab training in preparation of entering or reviewing academic employee actions.
Offered on a monthly basis once the minimum enrollment requirement of three trainees has been met.
Prerequisites: Full PPS Training Program
Required of all PPS Preparers and Mandatory Reviewers of academic actions, and their back-ups. |
